- 2-foot length of 1 ¼” or 1 ½” PVC pipe
- 12 feet of 1 ¼” or 1 ½” slotted angle
- 1 box of ¼” carriage nuts, bolts and washers
- 1 saw (hack saw, jig saw, grinder)
- 1 drill and ¼” drill bit
- 1 7/16” wrench
Step One
Cut the PVC into 12-inch lengths
Step Two
Put a piece of PVC in the angle and align the top of the PVC to match the top of the non-pointed side of the angle. By doing this, you can use a mallet to pound the holder into the ground without damaging the PVC.
Step Four
With the smooth side facing in, put four carriage bolts through the angle. The smooth side of the bolts won’t damage your rods.
